Horned lizards have specialized defense mechanisms, such as their ability to shoot blood from their eyes, which can be harmful to both the animal and the person handling them. Additionally, their populations are sometimes threatened due to habitat loss and other factors, so it’s important to respect their natural environment and not disturb them.
