Tomorrow is the first day of fall, my favorite time of the year. The weather is still hot in south Texas, but autumn at least brings us relief from the 100-degree days. Fall means football is back. Halloween preparations are starting. The leaves are beginning to give us their brilliant show of colors. Do you have any autumn birthdays in your circle? We have a lot of September babies in our family, including my youngest daughter who is only a day younger than my stepdaughter. When they were little, we called them the step-twins.
