When I was a little girl, Saturday nights at our home were story time. We would take turns picking our favorite stories, and my dad would read them to us. We had a bookshelf in the living room with collections of stories from various authors. My favorite story (and the one I always picked) was a Grimm tale called One Eye, Two Eye, Three Eye. The story was similar to Cinderella in that One Eye and Three Eye were the mean sisters who treated Two Eye badly. They considered themselves special because one had one eye in the center of her forehead, and the other had a third eye in the center of her forehead. They considered Two Eye common, like other folk, and had no use for her.
