Reindeer Earrings Crochet Pattern

The holidays are full of last-minute shopping and events, and this year has been no exception. We found out about an ugly sweater party that we were invited to. Fortunately, I already have an ugly Christmas sweater, but I realized I have no jewelry to go along with it. Since the sweater has a blinged-out reindeer on it, I decided to make a pair of reindeer earrings. They’re quick and easy because it’s just a few rows of crochet and then glue on the embellishments.

Reindeer Earrings Crochet Pattern

Materials:

8 yards sport yarn

Size E (3.5 mm) crochet hook

Red pompoms

7-mm wiggle eyes

Gold pipe cleaners

Chain & earring hooks

Directions:

Row 1: Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 3 ch (4 sc).

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.

Row 3: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st (6 sc).

Rows 4-6: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn, sc across with 2 sc in last st. Working down side, 1 sc in each row end. Working in unused lps of Row 1, 2 sc in first lp, sc in next 2 lps, 2 sc in last lp. Working up the other side, 1 sc in each row end. Join with sl st. Do not fasten off.

Ears: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc on side of head. Ch 1, turn, sc 2 tog. Fasten off.

Attach yarn on other side of head and sc in 2 sts. Ch 1, turn, sc 2 tog. Fasten off.

Cut 4″ pieces of gold pipe cleaner. Insert one on each side of head and twist into desired shape.

Glue eyes and pompom nose to front of reindeer.

Add a chain of 1-2″ (or desired length) to center top of face. Attach earring hook to other end of chain.
