Directions:
Cat:
Rnd 1: With MC yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring). Sc 6 in second ch from hook. Do not join. Work in continuous rnds throughout unless otherwise specified.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc (12 sc).
Rnd 3: *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (18 sc).
Rnd 4: *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around (24 sc).
Rnd 5: *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat around (30 sc).
Rnd 6: *sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (36 sc).
Rnds 7-12: Sc in each st. Join with sl st at end of Rnd 12. Fasten off black yarn.
Rnd 13: Turn, attach CC yarn. In BLO, *hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st,* repeat around (54 hdc). Join with sl st.
Rnd 14: Ch 1, *hdc in next 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st,* repeat around (64 hdc). Join with sl st. Fasten off CC yarn.
Rnd 15: Return to Rnd 12 and used unused lps, sc in each st with CC yarn (36 sc). Do not join.
Rnd 16: *Inv dec, sc in next 7 sts,* repeat around (32 sc).
Rnd 17: Sc in each st.
Rnd 18: *Inv dec, sc in next 6 sc,* repeat around (28 sc).
Rnds 19-20: Sc in each st.
Rnd 21: *Inv dec, sc in next 5 sc,* repeat around (24 sc).
Rnds 22-23: Sc in each st.
Rnd 24: *Sc in next st, ch 1, skip 1 sc,* repeat around. Join with sl st. Fasten off yarn. Weave in all ends.
Drawstring: With CC yarn, make a chain 12″ long and knot both ends. Pull through loops made in Rnd 24 of witch’s hat.
EARS: (Make 2)
Row 1: With black yarn, ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in st.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next st. Faten off black yarn.
Sew ears to hat just above brim approximately 4-5 sts apart.
Glue on google eyes or use fabric paint to paint eyes and nose.
Crochet the lower bag in green and the upper bag in black. Omit the cat’s ears, and you have a witch bag.
For nose, attach green yarn in center of face, ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and remaining 2 ch. Fasten off. Tie ends inside bag. Attach red wiggle eyes and use red fabric paint to draw a mouth.
