National Coffee with a Cop Day – Free Cop Hat Ornament Pattern

Every year on the first Wednesday in October, National Coffee with a Cop Day brings men and women in uniform together with their communities to connect over a cup of coffee. If you have a member of law enforcement in your family, you’re going to love this new Policeman’s Hat Ornament Crochet Pattern.

This pattern was designed as part of a series for my recent ebook, It’s a Wonderful Life Advent Calendar. The Policeman Hat Ornament symbolizes Bert the Cop, one of George Bailey’s best friends.

National Ghost Hunting Day – Free Ghost Crochet Patterns

Every year at the end of September, ghost enthusiasts, thrill-seekers, and paranormal investigators from all over the world come together to celebrate National Ghost Hunting Day. This peculiar and spine-tingling holiday is a testament to humanity’s enduring fascination with the unknown and the supernatural. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the history and significance of National Ghost Hunting Day, explore the allure of ghost hunting, and provide some tips for those eager to embark on their own supernatural adventures.

National Ghost Hunting Day first came into existence in 2016, thanks to the efforts of Haunted Journeys, a company specializing in paranormal-themed tours and events. This date was chosen because it falls close to Halloween, a time when interest in the supernatural is at its peak. The day is meant to honor ghost hunters and paranormal investigators, as well as to encourage the public to engage in their own ghostly pursuits.

Why Ghost Hunting?

Ghost hunting is more than just a spooky hobby; it’s a quest to unravel the mysteries of the afterlife and the supernatural. Today’s roundup will get you started on your ghost-making goals.

Spiral Scarf by Laurene Leeseberg Bluder

From the designer:

“I made the first scarf while at a softball game when my middle child, Rebecca was playing softball for the New Lenox Lightning, I think, at the 14U level. When we decided to do the design-a-scarf challenge (2022) again I figured I’d try and remember what I did. It was super thick and warm and perfect for keeping the wind off your neck on chilly Fall or early Spring Days. It was fun and this time I made it for me.
