Bighorn Sheep Ram Keychain Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn:
15 yards MC
15 yards CC
Crochet hook size G (4.0 mm)
Pipe cleaner
Ball chain & connector
GAUGE SWATCH: 9 rows = 2”, 8 sc = 2”
Keychain measures 4.5” wide x 2.75” tall (including horns).

Directions:
HEAD:
Rnd 1: With MC, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working on opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 2 lps, 2 sc in last lp (10 sc). Do not join. Work in continuous rnds throughout.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st.
Rnd 3: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts (16 sc).
Rnd 4: Sc in each st.
Rnd 5: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* sc in next 2 sts, * to * 3 times, sc in next 2 sts, * to * 2 times (22 sc).
Rnds 6-10: Sc in each st. Join with sl st at end of Rnd 10.
Rnd 11: Fold piece flat and work through both sides. Ch 1, sc in each st, sl st in same st as last sc (11 sc). Fasten off MC.
HORNS: (Make 2)
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (or magic ring), 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. Work in continuous rnds throughout.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts (4 sc).
Rnd 3: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts (5 sc).
Rnd 4: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 4 sts (6 sc).
Rnd 5: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts (7 sc).
Rnd 6: 2 sc in first st, sc in next 6 sts (8 sc).
Rnds 7-11: Sc in each st. Join with sl st at end of Rnd 11. Fasten off C yarn leaving 6” length for sewing.
ASSEMBLY:
Cut 2 pieces of pipe cleaner 5” long. Fold in half and crimp ends. Insert folded pipe cleaner into horn. Sew horn to Rnds 9-11 of head. Curl horns.
Cut 6” piece of ball chain and insert through middle sc of head. Join both ends with connector.

Start your month off right with this Cat Friendship Bracelet crochet pattern, a purrfectly delightful way for crafters to express their love for feline friends through a handmade accessory. Materials:

20 yards #10 cotton thread

Size 1.5 mm crochet hook

OR

50 yards sport weight yarn

Size C (2.75 mm) crochet hook

 

Directions are given for Small with Medium, Large, and XL in [ ].

Gauge: 19 sc = 2” with cotton thread,

22 sc = 4” with sport weight yarn.

 

Bracelet with cotton thread is ¾” wide. Small (child) is 5.25” long, Medium (teen) is 6.5” long, Large (women) is 7.25” long, XL (men) is 8” long.

Bracelet with sport weight yarn is 1.25” wide. Small is 4.75” long, Medium is 6.5” long, XL is 8.25” long.

Bracelet is easy to make longer or shorter; start with fsc in multiples of 8 + 3 to get desired length.

 

 

 

 

 

 

COTTON THREAD

Directions: S [M, L, XL]

Row 1: Fsc 51 [59, 67, 75] with MC.

Rows 2-6: Ch 1, turn, work in chart for 5 rows. Fasten off CC yarn.

OR

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, work in sc across: 4 MC, *3 CC, 5 MC,* repeat across ending with 4 MC.

Rows 3-5: Ch 1, turn, work in sc across: 3 MC, *5 CC, 3 MC,* repeat across.

Row 6: Ch 1, turn, work in sc across: 3 MC, *1 CC, 3 MC,* repeat across.  Fasten off CC.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st with MC. Fasten off MC.

Row 6: Ch 1, turn, work in sc across: 3 MC, *1 CC, 3 MC,* repeat across.  Fasten off CC.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st with MC. Fasten off MC.

Cut yarn in 6” pieces and thread through corners of bracelet for ties.

Organize Your Workspace and Add a Desk Pet

A common new years resolution is organization. Maintaining an organized workspace is essential to keeping the mind clear and focused. This little robot was designed to sit on your desk and keep you company while you work.

Gauge: 9 rows = 2”, 8 sc = 2”

Materials:

50 yards MC (body & head)

35 yards CC (shoulders)

5 yards black (screen color)

Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook

25-mm googly eyes

Peel & stick felt

Marbles

Fiberfill

Pipe cleaner

25-mm doll joints

Body:

Rnd 1: With MC yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring), 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook (7 sc). Do not join. Work in continuous rnds throughout unless otherwise specified.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (14 sc).

Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (21 sc).

Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (28 sc).

Rnd 5: *Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (35 sc).

Rnd 6: *Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (42 sc).

Place piece on felt and mark around edges.

Rnd 7: Working in BLO, sc in each st.

Rnds 8-20: Working in both lps, sc in each st. Join with sl st at end of Rnd 20. Fasten off MC yarn.

Trim felt to fit bottom of body. Insert inside body.

Add a few marbles to weight the base. Stuff body.

Shoulders:

Rnd 1: With CC yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring), 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook (7 sc). Do not join. Work in continuous rnds throughout unless otherwise specified.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (14 sc).

Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (21 sc).

Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (28 sc).

Upper Arms: (Make 2)

Rnd 1: With CC yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring), 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. Work arms in continuous rnds.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc).

Rnds 3-6: Sc in each st. Join with sl st at tne of Rnd 6. Fasten off CC yarn with 6” length for sewing.

Insert posts from shoulders through Rnd 2 of upper arms. Place washer on post, then end piece and lock in place.

Place shoulders on body and sew in place with Rnds 10-11 of shoulders overlapping body.

Lower Arms: (Make 2)

Rnd 1: With MC yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring), 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join. Work arms in continuous rnds.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (6 sc).

Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (9 sc).

Rnds 4-7: Sc in each st. Join with sl st at end of Rnd 7. Stuff lower arm and place Rnd 7 inside of Rnd 6 of upper arm. Sew in place.

Neck:

Rnd 1: With CC yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring), 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (12 sc).

Rnd 3: Sc in each st. Join with sl st. Fasten off CC yarn with 9” length for sewing.

Insert post of doll joint into neck with post pointed upward. Sew neck to Rnd 2 of Shoulders.

Screen:

Row 1: With black (or desired color) yarn, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and remaining 5 ch (6 sc).

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, inc in first st, sc in next 4 sts, inc in last st (8 sc).

Rnd 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, turn, dec over first 2 sts, sc across, dec over last 2 sts (6 sc).

Rnd 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st around all 4 sides with 2 sc in each corner (20 sc). Join with sl st. Fasten off black.

Rnd 6: Attach MC yarn. Ch 1, sc in each st with 2 sc in each corner (24 sc). Join with sl st.

Rnds 7-8: Repeat Rnd 6 (32 sc).

Place piece on felt and mark around edges.

Rnd 9: Ch 1, working in BLO, sc in each st. Join with sl st.

Rnds 10-11: Ch 1, working in both lps, sc in each st. Join with sl st. Fasten off yarn.

Trim felt piece and stick to inside of screen. Insert post of joint from neck into center bottom of head. Add washer and end piece. Lock in place.

Back of Head:

Row 1: With MC yarn, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each remaining ch (7 sc).

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, inc in first st, sc in next 5 sts, inc in last st (9 sc).

Row 3: Ch 1, turn, inc in first st, sc in next 7 sts, inc in last st (11 sc).

Rows 4-6: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn, dec over first 2 sts, sc across, dec over last 2 sts (9 sc).

Row 8: Ch 1, turn, dec over first 2 sts, sc across, dec over last 2 sts (7 sc). Fasten off yarn leaving 12” length for sewing.

Lay flat on felt and mark edges. Cut felt to 1/16” inside marked lines. Stick in place to wrong side of back. Stuff head. Sew back of head to front.

Sew googly eyes to screen.

Antennae: (Make 2)

Rnd 1: With desired color of yarn, ch 2 (or magic ring), 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join.

Rnd 2: Sc in each st. Join with sl st. Fasten off yarn with 6” length for sewing.

Cut 4” piece of pipe cleaner, fold in half and insert through center of Rnd 1 with ¾” to 1” extending above Rnd 1. Crimp ends inside antennae. Sew to top of head at sides.

Weave in (or hide) all ends.
