2021 Crochet Round-up

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas holiday. Ours was filled with family, friends, and food. We made tamales at our houses, and other family members brought rice, beans, and a brisket. Of course, I also made a few pies. My niece loves strawberry pie, so that was a must! It was so much fun watching the children open their gifts, playing games with the family, and my SIL brought a pinata for the kids. So much fun!

Once Christmas is over, thoughts turn to New Year’s Eve and the goals for the coming year. Have you started working on your resolutions yet? I’ve compiled some of my most popular blog posts to help with that.

Pets

Are you adopting a pet this year, or did you get a puppy for Christmas? My Bruno was a Christmas gift from my husband last year, and I published the sweater pattern I designed for him. There are 2 puppy sizes, and I’m going to work on an adult pug sweater before the weather gets cold in Texas.

Free Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern for Mother’s Day

This week has been a busy one for me preparing the launch of a new section of my store – fiber-themed t-shirts and accessories. It’s always exciting to start a new venture, but it can be intimidating, too. My Fingers Fly will now offer t-shirts, coffee cups, tote bags, and more with silly crochet characters. Use code FRIENDS&FAMILY for 15% off t-shirts.

After my recent posting about TSA rules and what fiber artists can carry on a plane, my sister found this wonderful tool. I’m going to order one and try it out on my next trip. https://www.amazon.com/Clover-3106-Cutter-Pendant-Antique/dp/B000WV1YC0/ref=sr_1_3?crid=P3BAUQIMAAK6&keywords=yarn+cutter+pendant&qid=1557501090&s=gateway&sprefix=yarn+cutt%2Caps%2C163&sr=8-3

Next week will be National Police Week (May 13 to May 19, 2019). One of my favorite baby patterns is the Police Baby Sweater with a donut-shaped baby rattle. The sweater is crocheted in baby weight yarn and can be personalized with any color uniform you choose.

Through Sunday, May 12, this pattern and all crochet patterns in my Etsy shop are on sale for 99 cents. Time to stock up! https://www.etsy.com/MyFingersFly/listing/490181460/baby-police-officer-sweater-crochet?utm_source=Copy&utm_medium=ListingManager&utm_campaign=Share&utm_term=so.lmsm&share_time=1557501419591
