The quiet beauty of a seahorse swimming along the ocean floor is a sight to behold. The seahorse’s long, flowing tail undulates as it moves through the water, and its tiny, delicate fins barely make a ripple. The seahorse’s body is a brilliant blend of colors, often with vibrant stripes or spots. It  is a real reminder of the beauty and diversity of the ocean.

This design from @SweetPotato3 is truly one of the best seahorse patterns I have ever seen!

Moose Keychain Crochet Pattern

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn –

15 yards brown

5 yards ivory

1 yard black

Crochet hook size G (4.00 mm)

2 google eyes

Key ring

Finished moose measures approximately 4” tall

Directions:

MOOSE HEAD: (Make 2)

Row 1: With brown yarn, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 3 ch (4 sc).

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, inc in first st, sc in next 2 sts, inc in last st (6 sc).

Rows 3-6: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn, dec over first 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, dec over last 2 sts ( 4 sc).

Rows 8-12: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st. After 2nd half of head, do not fasten off.

EDGING:

Ch 1, turn. Place both pieces tog and work through both layers. 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st on top of head. Working down the side, sc in 1st row end, ch 5, sl st in 1st ch (ear made), continue sc down side, across bottom, and up other side. After sc in Row 11 end, ch 5, sl st in 1st ch (second ear made), sc in Row 12 end. Join with sl st. Do not fasten off.

STRAP:

Row 1 Sc in next 4 sts across top of head.

Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st. Fasten off at end of Row 4 leaving 6” length for sewing.

Insert strap into key ring and sew Row 1 to Row 4 securely.

ANTLERS:

Rnd 1: Between the strap and the ear, there are 2 remaining sts. With ivory yarn, pick up front lp in first st and work 1 sc, 2 sc in front lp of next st. Turn to work on back lps of these sts, 1 sc in first lp, 2 sc in next lp (6 sc). Do not join.

Rnd 2: Sc in each st. Do not join.

Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* repeat twice (9 sc). Do not join.

Rnd 4: Sc in each st. Do not join.

Rnd 5: *Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st,* repeat twice (12 sc).

Use black yarn (or desired color) to make nostrils with straight st. Glue on google eyes.
