Chicken Bonnet Crochet Pattern

chicken hat

Chickens wearing hats can be a lot of fun to look at, and they can also be a great way to show off your creativity. If you’re thinking about putting a hat on your chicken, be sure to choose one that fits comfortably and doesn’t obstruct their vision.

Recently my sister was showing me photos of her menagerie which includes chickens, ducks, goats and many others. She sent me photos of animals wearing hats, and I thought my Fashion Doll Easter Bonnet would fit a chicken pretty well. All you need is to add a piece of elastic so the hat won’t fall off the chicken’s head.

Rainbow Egg Cozy Crochet Pattern

rainbow egg cozy

Easter dinner is a special event in many homes around the world. Here in south Texas, we always have a  barbeque with chicken and beef fajitas, kiolbasa sausage, potato salad, rice and beans. After dinner it’s time to head outside for the Easter egg hunt for the littles. Then it’s time for the cascarones!

Cascarones are a fun and festive Easter tradition that is popular in Mexico and the United States. They are made by hollowing out a chicken egg and filling it with confetti or small toys. The egg is then sealed with a piece of tissue paper and decorated. Cascarones are typically cracked over someone’s head to shower them with confetti.

If you would like an extra special Easter egg decoration or a unique place setting for your Easter table, try this simple Rainbow Egg Cozy Crochet Pattern.

They’re quick and easy to make and will brighten up your Easter decor.
