You’ve seen the beautiful snow globe ornaments that everyone is crocheting! These snow globes work as gift bags and work up quickly in worsted weight yarn. Because they only use a few yards of each color, they are great stash busters. They are also easy to personalize by using different colors and adding embellishments.

Finished bags measure approximately 6 ” tall by 3-4” inches wide.
Materials you will need:
Small amounts of worsted weight yarn
Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
Yarn needle
Fiberfil
Buttons, sequins, etc.
Directions:
Rnd 1: With white yarn, ch 2. Sc 6 in second ch from hook. Do not join.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc (12 sc).
Rnd 3: *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (18 sc).
Rnd 4: *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (24 sc).
Rnd 5: *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (30 sc).
Rnd 6: *1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (36 sc).
Rnd 7: *1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (42 sc).
Rnds 8-15: Sc in each st.
Rnd 16: *Dec, sc in next 5 sc,* repeat around (36 sc).
Rnd 17: *Dec, sc in next 4 sc,* repeat around (30 sc).
Rnd 18: *Dec, sc in next 3 sc,* repeat around (24 sc).
Rnd 19: *Sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc,* repeat around.
Rnd 20: *Dec, sc in next 3 sc,* repeat around (24 sc).
Join with sl st. Fasten off white yarn.
Drawstring:
Using white yarn, make a chain 12″ long and knot both ends. Pull through loops made in Rnd 19.
Base:
Rnd 1: With red yarn, ch 2. Sc 7 in second ch from hook. Do not join.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc (14 sc).
Rnd 3: *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (21 sc).
Rnd 4: *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (28 sc).
Rnd 5: *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (35 sc).
Rnd 6: *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (42 sc).
Rnd 7: *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc,* repeat around (49 sc). Lay flat on piece of cardboard and trace around the edges. Cut out circle from cardboard and set aside.
Rnd 8: Working in BLO, sc in each st.
Rnd 9: : *Dec, sc in next 5 sc,* repeat around (42 sc).
Rnd 10: Sc in each st.
Rnd 11: *Dec, sc in next 4 sc,* repeat around (35 sc).
Rnd 12: Sc in each st.
Rnd 13: *Dec, sc in next 3 sc,* repeat around (28 sc). Join with sl st. Fasten off red with 12” length.
Insert cardboard circle into bottom of base. Fill with Fiberfil. Sew Rnd 13 of base to Rnd 4 of globe.
Glue on Christmas buttons, sequins, or any decoration you would like.
Decorate each snow globe as you wish to make each one different.

Rnds 3-8: Sc in each sc. Stuff.
Rnd 9: Dec around (6 sc).

Fasten off yarn leaving 12” length for sewing. Fold leg at marker and sew in L-shape to sides of body at Rnds 23-28 of body with toes facing front.

Rnd 1: With a double strand of white yarn, ch 2 (or magic circle), 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join rounds.
Rnd 2: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* repeat twice (9 sc).
Rnds 3-4: Sc in each st.
Rnds 5-6: Sc in 1st st, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts, sl st in next 3 sts (9 sts).
Rnds 7-8: Sc in each st (9 sc). Join with sl st at end of Rnd 8. Stuff lightly.
Toes: Fold in half to work through both sides of Rnd 8. Turn, sl st through both thicknesses, *ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch, sc in next ch, sl st through both thicknesses of front leg,* repeat twice (3 toes). Fasten off yarn leaving 9” length. Sew arms to sides at Rnds 12-18 of body.

Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in first st, 2 sc in next st (3 sc).
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st. Fasten off yarn leaving 6” length. Sew ears to sides of head at Rnds 4-6.
WINGS: (Make 2)
Row 1: With a double strand of white yarn, ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 10 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working on opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 11 lps (25 sc).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, working in BLO, sc in next 12 sts, 3 sc in sc at tip of wing, sc in next 12 sts (27 sc).
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, working in BLO, sc in 13 sts, 3 sc in sc at tip of wing, sc in next 13 sts (29 sc).
