Small amounts of cotton worsted yarn – white, yellow and tan/ivory (desired color for face).
Size G crochet hook
Fiberfil
Rattle insert (column rattles fit better)
Yarn needle
Directions:
Rnd 1: With tan (ivory) yarn, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc). Do not join.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (12 sc).
Rnd 3-5: Work even on 12 sc.
Rnd 6: Dec around (6 st).
Rnd 7: Work even on 6 sc. Join. Fasten off.
Rnd 8: Attach white yarn. 2 sc in each st around (12 st).
Rnd 9: *Sc in next 3 st, 2 sc next st,* repeat twice (15 st).
Rnd 10: Work even on 15 sc.
Rnd 11: *Sc in next 4 st, inc next st,* repeat twice (18 sc).
Rnd 12: Work even on 18 sc.
Rnd 13: *Sc in next 5 st, inc next st,* repeat twice (21 sc).
Rnd 14: Work even on 21 sc.
Rnd 15: *Sc in next 6 sc, inc,* repeat twice (24 sc).
Rnd 16: Work even on 24 sc.
Rnd 17: *Sc in next 7 sc, inc,* repeat twice (27 sc).

Return to unused loop of Rnd 21. *Sc, sk 1 st, 4 dc in next st, sk 1 st,* repeat around. Join with sl st. Weave in all ends.
Wings:
Rnd 1: With yellow yarn, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 1 dc in same sc, 2 dc in each of next 2 st. Leave remaining 3 st unworked. Ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Dc in 1st st, *2 dc next st, dc next st,* repeat, 2 dc in top of ch-3. Fasten off. Repeat Rows 2-3 on unworked sc of Rnd 1. Sew to back of angel. Weave in ends.
Handle:
Rnd 1: With yellow or gold yarn, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do not join.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each ch around (12 sc).
Rnd 3: *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (18 sc).
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st,* repeat around (24 sc).
Rnds 5-6: Work even on 24 sc.
Rnd 7: *Dec, sc next 2 sts,* repeat around (18 sc).
Rnd 8: *Dec, sc,* repeat around (12 sc).
Continue to work even on 12 sc until handle measures 3.5”. Join, end off yarn leaving 12” length for sewing. Stuff handle firmly with fiberfill and sew to bottom of angel. Sew at least 2 times around the handle to make sure it is secure.
