There’s nothing more timeless than a great pair of blue jeans—and now you can bring that same classic style to your holiday décor with this Blue Jean Ornament Crochet Pattern! Perfect for denim lovers, fashionistas, or anyone who wants a fun and unique handmade ornament, this project adds a touch of casual charm to your Christmas tree.
Personally, blue jeans have been a staple of my wardrobe since I was a kid. I remember buying my Wranglers at the feed store when they were $19 a pair. Of course, that was nearly 50 years ago! I still love denim and really love the Jeans yarn from Lion Brand. It’s so soft and really does resemble faded blue jeans.
Why You’ll Love This Pattern
Fun & Unique: A playful twist on a classic wardrobe staple.
Customizable: Use different shades of blue for a denim look or get creative with colorful “jeans.”
Quick Make: Perfect for last-minute holiday crafting or gifting.
Great Stash-Buster: A wonderful way to use up scrap yarn!
Ways to Use Your Blue Jean Ornament
Hang it on your Christmas tree 🎄
Attach it to a gift as a reusable tag 🎁
Create a whole garland of mini jeans for a quirky holiday display ✨
Give as a handmade gift for friends who love denim or crochet

The holidays are full of last-minute shopping and events, and this year has been no exception. We found out about an ugly sweater party that we were invited to. Fortunately, I already have an ugly Christmas sweater, but I realized I have no jewelry to go along with it. Since the sweater has a blinged-out reindeer on it, I decided to make a pair of reindeer earrings. They’re quick and easy because it’s just a few rows of crochet and then glue on the embellishments.
Reindeer Earrings Crochet Pattern
Materials:
8 yards sport yarn
Size E (3.5 mm) crochet hook
Red pompoms
7-mm wiggle eyes
Gold pipe cleaners
Chain & earring hooks

I recently had the opportunity to visit Manchester for the first time. All my preconceived ideas of New England came true! It’s such a beautiful city, full of history. I only wish I could have stayed longer. The people, the food, the weather – everything was lovely!
I can’t believe that I’ve been crocheting for most of my life but only found out about the Crochet Guild of America a few years ago. The conference was so much fun – meeting other crocheters from around the world, seeing their creations, hearing their ideas for new projects. Talk about idea overload! I may not sleep for a month with all the designs floating around in my head. One of the classes I took was Irish crochet, and I have so many ideas for future projects. For anyone who wants to learn, Susan Lowman does beautiful work, and she explains everything so well. My class piece isn’t finished yet, but hopefully this weekend I can get to it.
To thank all the wonderful people I met and learned from, My Fingers Fly is offering free shipping on t-shirts and leggings for crocheters. Just use code CGOA by July 31, 2019. https://www.myfingersfly.com/collections/t-shirts

This weekend I will be catching up on housework (and crochet) and resting a bit before we’re off to Houston next week to see Queen and The Rolling Stones. Hopefully I can get my Adam Lambert and Brian May dolls finished before we leave.
